Saturday 12 July 2008: National anthems at Carisbrook

The City of Dunedin Choir provided the backing for the singing of the South African and New Zealand national anthems at the rugby test at Carisbrook on Saturday 12 July. The soloists were Peter Chin for the New Zealand national anthem and Claire Barton for the South African national anthem.

Due to restrictions by the organisers the Choir was represented on the night by about one third of its usual membership, but a recording of the full choir had been made and was played as an "accompaniment" to the live performance.

The following photographs were taken during the Choir's end of year party on 9 December 2008. The Choir was joined by guests from the Southern Sinfonia: Philippa Harris, Arthur Bingham, Nicole Fournier and Kate Lovell.
